Self Registration

To access the VMware Service Portal, your details must be registered with VMware Service Manager. A registered user has a User ID and Password that can be verified by VMware Service Portal.

To register your details, follow these steps:

  1. From the VMware Service Portal Log On page, select the link click here to register. The Register page is displayed.
  2. Specify your personal details in the First Name, Surname, Title, Work Phone and Mobile fields.
  3. Type the email address with which you want to register for the VMware Service Portal in the Email Address field.
  4. From the Preferred Email Format list, select an option from Plain Text and HTML.

HTML email messages support text formatting, numbering, bullets, alignment, horizontal lines, pictures (including backgrounds), HTML styles, stationery, signatures, and linking to Web pages. Because the most popular e-mail programs use HTML, it is the recommended format for Internet mail.

Plain Text format is one that all e-mail programs understand. Plain Text does not support bold, italic, colored fonts, or other text formatting. It also does not support pictures displayed directly in the message body of the email.

  1. Type in your preferred User ID in the User ID field. This is the User ID you will have to use to log on.
  2. Type in your preferred password in the Password field. Passwords are case-sensitive. This will be the password that corresponds to the typed User ID you have to use to log on.
  3. Re-type your preferred password in the Confirm Password field. This has to be the same password as the one you typed in the password field.
  4. Click OK to register your details. A confirmation is displayed to acknowledge that your details have been successfully submitted.

Subsequently, an email will be sent to you to confirm details of your registration.

Depending on the configuration for the Portal set by your System Administrator in VMware Service Manager, your registration details may require to be reviewed by an administrator before a notification email is sent to you. You can only log onto the Portal after you have received a notification email.
